Meet the team at Courtyard Footcare…
Susan Hunt, DPodM, BSc. (Hons), MBA
I qualified as a podiatrist from the Northern Ireland School of Podiatry, Belfast in 1986 and for the next 15 years practised as an NHS podiatrist in Birmingham. I have extensive experience of community podiatric clinics, GP Practice, mental health and acute clinics.
Special interests include the podiatric management of people with diabetes and other vascular complications as well as nail surgery and verruca clinics.
Between 2001 and 2013, I held several managerial positions within the NHS, directly resulting from my experience as a podiatrist with a special interest in diabetes. While I have worked to improve service delivery over the last 12 years and the work has been satisfying, I am excited by returning to a more practical role and engaging with patients.
I am married with three children under the age of 15. When I’m not running an informal taxi service, I enjoy walking with our 3 year old Chocolate Labrador. I also enjoy gardening, sailing and travelling.
Leigh Hudson BSc (Hons)
Leigh has recently joined the team at Courtyard Footcare. Leigh graduated from the Northampton School of Podiatry with a first class honours degree and previous to this he was a Sports Science graduate.
In addition to general footcare, Leigh has a special interest in biomechanics, which he uses to help both himself and the client to understand the causes and treatment options for their foot or leg pain. Leigh is licensed to administer local anaesthetics and a range of Prescription Only Medicines to support his treatments.
Leigh undertakes regular training to keep his skills up to date and in the near future he hopes to undertake a Master’s degree to further add to his knowledge and this will be an added benefit to his clients too.
Leigh is from Coventry, where he lives with his wife and two children, who keep him very busy!
